The Lucian Dog Collection Campaign

To mark the launch of the collection, we wanted to celebrate the bond between people and their dogs so we invited our community to share photographs and stories that captured the spirit, personality, and companionship of their four-legged friends.

He had drawn a little box with his whippet’s head in the middle and with my name on each side of it. It was so perfect, witty, with an undercurrent of anarchic high spirits.

The dog drawing has translated beautifully into print and as an intarsia knit or a gold embroidery. I love having his subtle involvement in everything I do, with his handwriting as my signature.

It will be 15 years since my father died on July 20th. It seemed like a good time to make a fuss of the dog and show how the Dog logo continues to be part of our world.

ALYSSA, JONI & RUDY

“Joni is a a five year old miniature dachshund hailing from London and Rudy is a two year old Mexican street dog who was born in Tijuana and raised in LA. They now both live with their two moms in London. They’re lively, characterful, cuddly, and the best of friends, and have traveled the world as my wife is an international touring musician. They’ve turned many lukewarm dog hearts into dog lovers."

Joe & Betty

“This is Betty and I, she is the most beautiful Jack Russell. I would be lost without her.”

Alex, Patch & Peach

“Patch is an 18-month-old collie, greyhound, Bedlington and American bulldog lurcher with mismatched eyes and an obsession with tennis balls. His best friend, Peach, is a 12-year-old angel disguised as a cockapoo.”

Paria & Odie

"The first image of Odie is carved into my mind. It is still a centre of warmth for me whenever I have to turn cold to show my authority as his owner. He was sitting on a beige, extra-large couch, making his dark black fur stand out amongst all the other colours floating in the room.

He was staring blankly at the doorframe, I assumed, because as soon as I saw him, his round eyes only tilted upward to meet mine, the whites at the corners becoming visible. His long tongue  hung down, and his ears weighed down by gravity, made it hard for him to sit upright. He reminded me of Dumbo the elephant."

Tom & Mr. Gin

“Lovable rogue Mr Gin has finally decided to ditch the anarchic personality and chill out in his twilight years. Gentle, loyal and a much loved member of the family he is the foxiest of terriers.”
